English Worksheet: Cursive handwriting - complete the word and sentence on the page. Read the words and sentences.
Jolly Phonics: Revise all 42 Jolly Phonics sounds, individually and blending together eg s-a-t = sat
Tricky Words: Practice reading and writing tricky words covered
Shared Reading: Storybook
Monday: Read the story to your child
Tuesday: Read the story with your child; Ask your child questions about the story
Wednesday: Read story with your child and ask them to write and draw about their favourite part - encourage them to use the
tricky words we have covered as well as simple three letter words eg man/ran; cat/hat, etc

Complete rhyming words to match pictures
Create three new words with same rhyming ending
Practice reading all the rhyming words

We are sending home practice sheets of letter and number formation for you to encourage your child to practice their pencil grip and letter/number formation. This work along with practice of the Jolly Phonics sounds covered to date (/s/ to /b/) will greatly prepare children for the work we will be doing in January. - English: Read sentence, look at the picture and fill in the blank - encourage the children to spell the work by sounding out it's individual parts eg p-e-n and then write it in the space allocated eg This is a _ _ _ (pen)
